Psalm 22
This is the Psalm quoted by gospel writers in several passages about Jesus’ crucifixion, with the opening line quoted by Jesus on the cross. Though the Psalm begins with despair, it ends with a strong declaration and praise that God did not reject the afflicted one (note the turn at verse 10).
